Bio

Yasmin Sidhwa has been Head of Creative Learning at Pegasus Theatre for the last four years. Previously she worked as Youth and Education Coordinator at Pegasus for 9 years. She also teaches on the PGCE English course at Oxford University, Department of Educational Studies (drama component) and is co – vice-chair of Oxford Inspires (the cultural agency for Oxfordshire). Yasmin’s focus is to run and programme the youth arts activities at Pegasus, liaising and collaborating with other partners and agencies. She sees working with young people as challenging, inspiring and stimulating and feels that young people are often more creative/innovative in their work than some professional performers. Yasmin’s experience as a professional performer help her to impart an understanding of the discipline and focus needed to create theatre, especially as an ensemble, and gives her the ability to get young people to reach their full potential.
