7.00-9.00pm for 15-19 years

The Urban Music Foundation and Pegasus Theatre have come together to offer the ultimate urban music course. Combining all aspects of creating modern urban music, participants will learn about lyric writing, vocal and microphone techniques, studio etiquette, performance techniques, beat production, artist promotion and will get some tips about how to make it in the music industry in the 21st century. Participants will also experience a live performance in front of an audience as part of the course. This course is ideal for you if you are interested in making music, performing and/or setting up your own 'mini label'. The course covers a wide range of subject areas related to creating and promoting your own music. At the end of the course you will have created from scratch and performed an original piece of music and will take away a CD containing your track with a custom made professionally designed cover, a very good start to your artist portfolio!
