We learn more about ourselves and our world every day. Scientists are making breakthroughs that would have once seemed impossible. OYT Companies and adult drama group Platypus Theatre present brand new work from our year of Science & Art. 'Caring for Lear', 'Walking On Eggshells', 'Within In The Moment', and 'A Stitch in Time' will be presented in the programme prior to touring to international youth festivals in the summer of 2010.
Caring for Lear by OTY Theatre Company
The company dives in to Shakespear's King Lear, to explore the deep mental states of ageing and family relationships in our celebrity, youth obsessed culture.
Within the Moment and Walking on Eggshells by OYT Dance Company
The company have created the choreography based on the way people react on hearing they have an incurable virus within their bodies; how it affects them emotionally and physicall, how the waves of the illness ripple in to their social circles and affect those around them. The OYT Dance Company will also be performing Walking on Eggshells, which explores the affects of family seperation.
A Stitch in Time by Platypus Theatre
Time is something that controls us physically, mentally and spiritually. Time holds secrets, carries memories and dictates our dynamics through the day. We explore how we make time, what time looks like and how you could store it. How do memories mix up and meld to become our grandest works of fiction?
