Becky Hall

Joined 21st October 2009

I am delighted to have become a trustee of Pegasus in October 2009. I worked as an actor for ten years having trained at Central School of Speech and Drama, and Ecole Internationale Jacques Lecoq in Paris, and subsequently worked for several theatre companies as an actor, director, writer, story teller and facilitator. I toured with many theatre companies, including Mikron – with whom I toured by narrowboat around the country, and Theatre Nomad with whom I toured internationally in several productions of Shakespeare’s plays. I have also written and performed plays and stories for children and young people, including ‘Kraka the Kold’ a story telling cd which re-works a well-known story using multi-cultural story telling traditions and an original musical score. I was the youth arts programme director A Team Arts – a specialist youth arts organisation in London’s East End for three years and directed young people’s plays, outdoor site-specific events and community plays.

I have a Masters in Continuing Education and Training and for the last 9 years I have worked as a consultant and facilitator for my own company, Fluent – which brings together my work in the arts with work in strategic organisational development.

As a facilitator I have worked with public, private and voluntary sector clients providing training and development – a lot of which uses theatre based learning, forum theatre scenarios and improvisation. For the last ten years I’ve also been a director and ‘responsible individual’ of Time For Children – a foster care agency and I oversee their training and sit on their Scrutiny Panel.

I enjoy living in East Oxford – a stone’s throw away from Pegasus – and look forward to being more involved as a parent of two young children and as a trustee. I love to write children’s stories, play guitar, play squash, walk with my dog and I also enjoy being a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts – which means I get to attend really interesting lectures.
