As part of their research for Taking Flight, the Production Company trawled through our physical and digital archives to find out as much as they could about Oxford Youth Theatre’s productions from 1962 (when OYT began on the Pegasus site) to the present day. We started to look at photos, programmes, posters and written documents from the hundreds of past productions, as well as watching videos and listening to old soundtracks.
It’s a tricky business tracking down the past…particularly the first 20 years of OYT’s work, when digital cameras and computers weren’t around. But the hunt was part of the fun… and we went back to the good old fashioned skill of talking to people to find out what we needed to know.
