The Members Committee has representatives aged from 10 years upwards from all the projects based at Pegasus. Right now there are 21 members involved.
The Members Committee regularly feed in their ideas on all that Pegasus does. From giving feedback on this new website design and plans for the new theatre, to going to see shows with the artistic director and making suggestions for the performance programme. They also write, illustrate and edit their own magazine – Generation Pegasus.
One of the main jobs for the Committee is to pass information from the youth theatre membership to and from the management of Pegasus. This ideas exchange takes place in various places, the Pegasus Theatre Trust (or board of trustees - PTT) come to Committee meetings, and the Members Committee are invited to board meetings. All Pegasus members can put their ideas forward by joining the Members Committee or talking to a representative.
The Committee members also act as ambassadors for Pegasus and go to conferences where they can share their ideas with other young people and arts professionals. They are also adept fundraisers and have raised money for projects, equipment and towards the cost of the redevelopment of the theatre.
