Jeremy Spafford

(Vice Chair, HR Sub-committee)
Joined 5th February 2002

I joined the Board of Pegasus Theatre Trust in 2002 and have been particularly involved in supporting the move to independent governance and supporting staff.  I run my own business as an independent facilitator, mediator, project evaluator and consultant supporting strategic planning.  I have worked with over 100 clients during the past eight years ranging from small community groups to large government departments.  Clients are involved in criminal justice, health, social care, the Arts, education and regeneration.

I am a member of three theatre companies, which use drama to facilitate debate around complex practice issues in health and social care: Progress Theatre, Spanner Workshops and Activate Theatre. I am also a keen dancer and member of Crossover Intergenerational Dance Company which performs regularly at Pegasus.  I helped to found an Oxford based charity called Connection, which supports vulnerable people enabling them to live independently, and I chaired their Board for 11 years.  Before going freelance, I was Regional Development Manager for Centrepoint, the national youth homelessness charity, and before that I worked as an actor and as a community psychiatric nurse in Manchester.  I have four children all of whom have performed at Pegasus and I live near to the theatre.
