Alison Partridge

(Members Committee liaison)
Joined 23rd May 2007

I have worked in public services for 30 years, having trained as a social worker in the early 1970's. I have worked primarily in children's services crossing between health care, social care and education services over the years. Jobs have included working as a social worker in adolescent and child protection services, and in paediatrics and maternity. I have also worked as a freelance research and development consultant over a 10 year period when my children were young.

I am currently the Strategic Lead for Participation and Play within the Children, Young People and Families Directorate of Oxfordshire County Council.

I have lived in East Oxford for 20 years and have three children who have all attended/are attending local schools. They have all been very involved in performing arts, particularly dance and have been very active members of Oxford Youth Dance. Pegasus Theatre has been very central on their maps - and as a parent, it's been central on mine too!

I have recently resigned as a Trustee from a small national charity called Changing Faces, which supports people with disfigurements, and raises public awareness about issues relating to appearance. My other interests include walking, music, performing arts, and inclusion/equality/diversity issues.
