I have been Chair of Pegasus Theatre Trust (PTT) since 2002 and until 2006 was also Chair of the Pegasus Theatre Management Committee when it was dissolved and all duties handed over to the PTT.

After University and a nursing training at St Thomas Hospital, London, I trained to be a health visitor. Working first in Blackbird Leys and then West Oxfordshire, I then moved on into clinical management. Following progression through various senior management posts in Oxfordshire and post graduate studies at Oxford University I became the Children, Young People and Maternity lead for the Thames Valley Strategic Health Authority until it was dissolved in 2006. I have now taken early retirement from the NHS and am setting up an association of consultants working in children and young people services, which includes working with national policy development and implementation.
I have lived in or around Oxford since 1977 and have three grown up children, two in publishing and one working in the film industry. I am married to a Children's Book publisher based in Oxford.

My interests include theatre, film, books, Africa (Benin in West Africa), Art, Food (cooking and history), our allotment and Childhood.
